Junior Grower Izabella, 5-year-old granddaughter of our club president, Kathy Garbarino, received the award for 'Junior Grower' at our show this year. Izabella is also a published artist, having had one of her cartoons published in the June issue of the official magazine of the New York State African Violet Society, The Empire Violet Magazine. Pictured at left is the African Violet that Izabella grew all by herself, as well as a copy of the magazine that her cartoon appeared in. |
